I’m Elizabeth Elmasian, and I’m running for Selectman because I care deeply about Seekonk and the people who call it home. Like many residents, I’ve seen how Town decisions impact our daily lives—from taxes and services to growth and long-term planning. I believe local government should be accessible, transparent, and focused on serving residents first.
I bring a thoughtful, solutions-driven approach to leadership. I listen carefully, ask questions, and work to understand all sides before decisions are made. I respect Seekonk’s history and traditions, and I believe we can protect what makes our town special while still planning responsibly for the future. As Selectman, I will work hard every day to earn your trust and represent our community with integrity.
Why I’m Running...
I’m running for Selectman because I believe Seekonk deserves better engagement, clearer communication, and leadership focused on results—not routine. Too often, residents feel left out of the decision-making process or unsure how and why choices are made. I want to change that by bringing the community back to the table and ensuring voices are heard.
This campaign is about serving the town—not maintaining the status quo. It’s about thoughtful change that strengthens our schools, supports responsible growth, protects town resources, and keeps Seekonk a great place to live for generations to come. I’m running because I believe in this community, and I’m ready to do the work needed to move Seekonk forward—together.
Time for Thoughful Change
Seekonk is at an important crossroads. Our town deserves leadership that listens carefully, thinks deliberately, and acts responsibly. Thoughtful change means moving forward with purpose—balancing new ideas with common sense, and progress with accountability. I believe now is the time to bring fresh perspective to Town Hall while keeping our community’s values front and center.
Focused on Results - Not Routine
Doing things “the way they’ve always been done” isn’t good enough when better outcomes are possible. I will approach every issue with a focus on results—measurable improvements that make life better for residents. That means asking tough questions, evaluating what’s working, and being willing to change course when routine no longer serves the public interest.
Because Town Goverment Can Do Better
Town government should work for the people it serves—efficiently, transparently, and responsively. When residents feel unheard or decisions feel disconnected from everyday concerns, it’s a sign we can do better. I am committed to improving how our local government operates so it delivers real value, clear communication, and results that reflect the needs of Seekonk families and businesses.
Bringing Community Back to the Table
Strong towns are built on strong participation. Residents deserve a seat at the table when decisions are made, and their voices should be respected throughout the process. I am committed to open dialogue, active listening, and creating opportunities for meaningful community input—because better decisions happen when more perspectives are included.
Serving the Town - Not the Status Quo
Public service should never be about protecting the status quo—it should be about serving the town as it is today and as it grows. My priority is Seekonk’s residents, not entrenched interests or political comfort zones. I will make decisions based on what’s best for the community as a whole, guided by fairness, integrity, and accountability.

At the same time, we must prepare responsibly for the future by planning smart growth, protecting town resources, and supporting the next generation. I believe we can honor our past while building a future that is sustainable, vibrant, and inclusive for all who call Seekonk home.
